Not only did Iowa pick up right where it left off from a week ago, but the Hawkeyes might have also found a solution to its quarterback dilemma.
In a surprise move, sophomore signal-caller Ricky Stanzi got the start over Jake Christensen and delivered with three touchdown passes on 8-of-10 throwing for 162 yards, as Iowa romped FIU, 42-0.

Democratic National Committee Chairman Howard Dean addressed about 120 people on the T. Anne Cleary Walkway this afternoon, focusing heavily on Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama's candidacy and the potential of the youth to make a difference.

Florida International hasn't had a winning season since its inception in 2002. In six years, the Golden Panthers have only won 16 games, three on the road.
"[The Golden Panthers] played hard and played with good effort last year," Hawkeye head coach Kirk Ferentz said. "I think they're just a better team physically now than they were."

Police cited several student journalists late Thursday night while the reporters were covering the protests surrounding the Republican Convention in St. Paul, Minn.
Among the approximately 500 people police gave citations to after they failed to leave a location that officials decided was an unlawful protest area were former DI reporter Dean Treftz, on assignment for U-Wire, a nationwide college news service, and Madison, Wis. Badger-Herald photographer Jeff Schorfheide.
